Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity sits at the heart of Scotland’s largest children’s hospital, raising money to ensure that every baby, child and young person treated there has the best possible care and experience.
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity supports Scotland’s leading children’s hospital. We fundraise to ensure that every baby, child and young person treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital receives the extra special care they deserve. Walking in the Kiltwalk 2022, you could help us fund lifesaving equipment or ground-breaking research that could change a young person’s life.
COVID brought some uncertainty to our hospital, but we were as committed as ever to bring the very best care and experiences to the children. Play is a crucial part of a child's recovery, and in those unprecedented times, play became even more important to the wellbeing of our young patients.
Our amazing supporters made sure we could provide for this vital service. Claire Kennedy, our Senior Health Play Specialist highlighted “We’ve had to adapt our Play Programme to keep all of the children safe during this time, and technology has played a key part in making that happen. Thanks to the iPads funded by Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, we can play Zoom bingo, have quizzes, enjoy storytelling and have surprise visits from superheroes – all through the iPads.”
Join us at our Pit Stop at Bowling for a fun, short break from your walk and hear a little more about how your walk is making a difference. We will be there with great music and plenty of picnic blankets for you to take the weight of your feet and get a well-deserved snack!
